The Big Bright Feelings social emotional learning series is a set of picture books for young children written and illustrated by the British author Tom Percival. The latest release in the Big Bright Feelings series is Sammy Feels Shy (released July 2025).  My children were really excited to hear that our pre order of the new book had shipped. I was drawn to the series because of the beautiful illustrations. The books shows children how to deal with their emotions in a direct and straight forward way making them easily accessible. I love the line in Ruby's Worry "Then Ruby did the best thing you can ever do if you have a worry... she talked about it" The characters are relatable too, they aren't superheroes saving the world.
